How To Uninstall arduino-core On Debian 9

To uninstall arduino-core just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just arduino-core

linuxCode, examples, and libraries for the Arduino platformelectronics2:1.0.5+dfsg2-4.1
sudo apt-get remove arduino-core

This will remove just the arduino-core package itself.

Uninstall arduino-core and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove arduino-core

This will remove the arduino-core package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for arduino-core then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge arduino-core

Or similarly, like this arduino-core

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove arduino-core
