How To Uninstall arduino On Debian 9

To uninstall arduino just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just arduino

linuxAVR development board IDE and built-in librarieselectronics2:1.0.5+dfsg2-4.1
sudo apt-get remove arduino

This will remove just the arduino package itself.

Uninstall arduino and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove arduino

This will remove the arduino package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for arduino then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge arduino

Or similarly, like this arduino

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove arduino
