How To Uninstall arpwatch On Debian 9

To uninstall arpwatch just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just arpwatch

linuxEthernet/FDDI station activity monitoradmin2.1a15-2+b1
sudo apt-get remove arpwatch

This will remove just the arpwatch package itself.

Uninstall arpwatch and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove arpwatch

This will remove the arpwatch package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for arpwatch then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge arpwatch

Or similarly, like this arpwatch

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove arpwatch
