How To Uninstall ascii On Debian 9

To uninstall ascii just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ascii

interactive ASCII name and synonym chartDebian 9.0utils3.15-1
sudo apt-get remove ascii

This will remove just the ascii package itself.

Uninstall ascii and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ascii

This will remove the ascii package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ascii then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ascii

Or similarly, like this ascii

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ascii
