How To Uninstall asciiart On Debian 9

To uninstall asciiart just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just asciiart

command line tool to turn images into ASCII artDebian 9.0misc0.0.9-1
sudo apt-get remove asciiart

This will remove just the asciiart package itself.

Uninstall asciiart and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove asciiart

This will remove the asciiart package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for asciiart then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge asciiart

Or similarly, like this asciiart

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove asciiart
