How To Uninstall asmail On Debian 9

To uninstall asmail just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just asmail

AfterStep mail monitorDebian 9.0mail2.1-4+b1
sudo apt-get remove asmail

This will remove just the asmail package itself.

Uninstall asmail and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove asmail

This will remove the asmail package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for asmail then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge asmail

Or similarly, like this asmail

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove asmail
