How To Uninstall asterisk On Debian 9

To uninstall asterisk just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just asterisk

Open Source Private Branch Exchange (PBX)Debian 9.0comm1:13.14.1~dfsg-2
sudo apt-get remove asterisk

This will remove just the asterisk package itself.

Uninstall asterisk and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove asterisk

This will remove the asterisk package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for asterisk then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge asterisk

Or similarly, like this asterisk

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove asterisk
