How To Uninstall astro-catalogs On Debian 9

To uninstall astro-catalogs just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just astro-catalogs

Astronomy catalogsDebian 9.0metapackages1.0
sudo apt-get remove astro-catalogs

This will remove just the astro-catalogs package itself.

Uninstall astro-catalogs and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove astro-catalogs

This will remove the astro-catalogs package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for astro-catalogs then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge astro-catalogs

Or similarly, like this astro-catalogs

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove astro-catalogs
