How To Uninstall astronomical-almanac On Debian 9

To uninstall astronomical-almanac just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just astronomical-almanac

astronomical almanac - calculate planet and star positionsDebian 9.0science5.6-4+b2
sudo apt-get remove astronomical-almanac

This will remove just the astronomical-almanac package itself.

Uninstall astronomical-almanac and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove astronomical-almanac

This will remove the astronomical-almanac package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for astronomical-almanac then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge astronomical-almanac

Or similarly, like this astronomical-almanac

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove astronomical-almanac
