How To Uninstall astropy-utils On Debian 9

To uninstall astropy-utils just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just astropy-utils

Command line tools from astropyDebian 9.0science1.3-8
sudo apt-get remove astropy-utils

This will remove just the astropy-utils package itself.

Uninstall astropy-utils and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove astropy-utils

This will remove the astropy-utils package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for astropy-utils then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge astropy-utils

Or similarly, like this astropy-utils

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove astropy-utils
