How To Uninstall asymptote On Debian 9

To uninstall asymptote just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just asymptote

script-based vector graphics language inspired by MetaPostDebian 9.0tex2.38-2+b2
sudo apt-get remove asymptote

This will remove just the asymptote package itself.

Uninstall asymptote and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove asymptote

This will remove the asymptote package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for asymptote then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge asymptote

Or similarly, like this asymptote

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove asymptote
