How To Uninstall atool On Debian 9

To uninstall atool just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just atool

tool for managing file archives of various typesDebian 9.0utils0.39.0-5
sudo apt-get remove atool

This will remove just the atool package itself.

Uninstall atool and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove atool

This will remove the atool package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for atool then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge atool

Or similarly, like this atool

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove atool
