How To Uninstall attr On Debian 9

To uninstall attr just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just attr

Utilities for manipulating filesystem extended attributesDebian 9.0utils1:2.4.47-2+b2
sudo apt-get remove attr

This will remove just the attr package itself.

Uninstall attr and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove attr

This will remove the attr package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for attr then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge attr

Or similarly, like this attr

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove attr
