How To Uninstall aufs-tools On Debian 9

To uninstall aufs-tools just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just aufs-tools

sudo apt-get remove aufs-tools

This will remove just the aufs-tools package itself.

Uninstall aufs-tools and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove aufs-tools

This will remove the aufs-tools package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for aufs-tools then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge aufs-tools

Or similarly, like this aufs-tools

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove aufs-tools
