How To Uninstall authbind On Debian 9

To uninstall authbind just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just authbind

linuxAllows non-root programs to bind() to low portsutils2.1.2
sudo apt-get remove authbind

This will remove just the authbind package itself.

Uninstall authbind and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove authbind

This will remove the authbind package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for authbind then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge authbind

Or similarly, like this authbind

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove authbind
