How To Uninstall auto-install-el On Debian 9

To uninstall auto-install-el just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just auto-install-el

linuxAuto install elisp filelisp1.58-1
sudo apt-get remove auto-install-el

This will remove just the auto-install-el package itself.

Uninstall auto-install-el and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove auto-install-el

This will remove the auto-install-el package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for auto-install-el then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge auto-install-el

Or similarly, like this auto-install-el

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove auto-install-el
