How To Uninstall autoconf On Debian 9

To uninstall autoconf just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just autoconf

automatic configure script builderDebian 9.0devel2.69-10
sudo apt-get remove autoconf

This will remove just the autoconf package itself.

Uninstall autoconf and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove autoconf

This will remove the autoconf package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for autoconf then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge autoconf

Or similarly, like this autoconf

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove autoconf
