How To Uninstall autoconf2.64 On Debian 9

To uninstall autoconf2.64 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just autoconf2.64

automatic configure script builder (obsolete version)Debian 9.0devel2.64+dfsg-1
sudo apt-get remove autoconf2.64

This will remove just the autoconf2.64 package itself.

Uninstall autoconf2.64 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove autoconf2.64

This will remove the autoconf2.64 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for autoconf2.64 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge autoconf2.64

Or similarly, like this autoconf2.64

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove autoconf2.64
