How To Uninstall autodock-vina On Debian 9

To uninstall autodock-vina just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just autodock-vina

docking of small molecules to proteinsDebian 9.0science1.1.2-3+b6
sudo apt-get remove autodock-vina

This will remove just the autodock-vina package itself.

Uninstall autodock-vina and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove autodock-vina

This will remove the autodock-vina package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for autodock-vina then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge autodock-vina

Or similarly, like this autodock-vina

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove autodock-vina
