How To Uninstall autofs On Debian 9

To uninstall autofs just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just autofs

kernel-based automounter for LinuxDebian 9.0utils5.1.2-1
sudo apt-get remove autofs

This will remove just the autofs package itself.

Uninstall autofs and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove autofs

This will remove the autofs package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for autofs then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge autofs

Or similarly, like this autofs

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove autofs
