How To Uninstall autogen On Debian 9

To uninstall autogen just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just autogen

automated text file generatorDebian 9.0devel1:5.18.12-3
sudo apt-get remove autogen

This will remove just the autogen package itself.

Uninstall autogen and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove autogen

This will remove the autogen package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for autogen then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge autogen

Or similarly, like this autogen

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove autogen
