How To Uninstall automake1.11 On Debian 9

To uninstall automake1.11 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just automake1.11

Tool for generating GNU Standards-compliant MakefilesDebian 9.0devel1:1.11.6-4
sudo apt-get remove automake1.11

This will remove just the automake1.11 package itself.

Uninstall automake1.11 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove automake1.11

This will remove the automake1.11 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for automake1.11 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge automake1.11

Or similarly, like this automake1.11

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove automake1.11
