How To Uninstall autorevision On Debian 9

To uninstall autorevision just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just autorevision

extracts revision metadata from your VCS repositoryDebian 9.0devel1.20-1
sudo apt-get remove autorevision

This will remove just the autorevision package itself.

Uninstall autorevision and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove autorevision

This will remove the autorevision package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for autorevision then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge autorevision

Or similarly, like this autorevision

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove autorevision
