How To Uninstall autossh On Debian 9

To uninstall autossh just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just autossh

Automatically restart SSH sessions and tunnelsDebian 9.0net1.4e-3
sudo apt-get remove autossh

This will remove just the autossh package itself.

Uninstall autossh and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove autossh

This will remove the autossh package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for autossh then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge autossh

Or similarly, like this autossh

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove autossh
