How To Uninstall avahi-autoipd On Debian 9

To uninstall avahi-autoipd just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just avahi-autoipd

Avahi IPv4LL network address configuration daemonDebian 9.0net0.6.32-2
sudo apt-get remove avahi-autoipd

This will remove just the avahi-autoipd package itself.

Uninstall avahi-autoipd and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove avahi-autoipd

This will remove the avahi-autoipd package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for avahi-autoipd then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge avahi-autoipd

Or similarly, like this avahi-autoipd

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove avahi-autoipd
