How To Uninstall avahi-dnsconfd On Debian 9

To uninstall avahi-dnsconfd just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just avahi-dnsconfd

Avahi DNS configuration toolDebian 9.0net0.6.32-2
sudo apt-get remove avahi-dnsconfd

This will remove just the avahi-dnsconfd package itself.

Uninstall avahi-dnsconfd and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove avahi-dnsconfd

This will remove the avahi-dnsconfd package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for avahi-dnsconfd then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge avahi-dnsconfd

Or similarly, like this avahi-dnsconfd

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove avahi-dnsconfd
