How To Uninstall avrdude On Debian 9

To uninstall avrdude just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just avrdude

sudo apt-get remove avrdude

This will remove just the avrdude package itself.

Uninstall avrdude and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove avrdude

This will remove the avrdude package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for avrdude then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge avrdude

Or similarly, like this avrdude

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove avrdude
