How To Uninstall aws-shell On Debian 9

To uninstall aws-shell just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just aws-shell

Interactive productivity booster for the AWS CLIDebian 9.0admin0.1.1-2
sudo apt-get remove aws-shell

This will remove just the aws-shell package itself.

Uninstall aws-shell and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove aws-shell

This will remove the aws-shell package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for aws-shell then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge aws-shell

Or similarly, like this aws-shell

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove aws-shell
