How To Uninstall awscli On Debian 9

To uninstall awscli just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just awscli

Universal Command Line Environment for AWSDebian 9.0admin1.11.13-1
sudo apt-get remove awscli

This will remove just the awscli package itself.

Uninstall awscli and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove awscli

This will remove the awscli package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for awscli then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge awscli

Or similarly, like this awscli

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove awscli
