How To Uninstall bareos-database-mysql On Debian 9

To uninstall bareos-database-mysql just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just bareos-database-mysql

Backup Archiving Recovery Open Sourced - MySQL backendDebian 9.0admin16.2.4-3
sudo apt-get remove bareos-database-mysql

This will remove just the bareos-database-mysql package itself.

Uninstall bareos-database-mysql and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove bareos-database-mysql

This will remove the bareos-database-mysql package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for bareos-database-mysql then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge bareos-database-mysql

Or similarly, like this bareos-database-mysql

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove bareos-database-mysql
