How To Uninstall barman On Debian 9

To uninstall barman just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just barman

Backup and Recovery Manager for PostgreSQLDebian 9.0database2.1-1
sudo apt-get remove barman

This will remove just the barman package itself.

Uninstall barman and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove barman

This will remove the barman package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for barman then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge barman

Or similarly, like this barman

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove barman
