How To Uninstall bash-builtins On Debian 9

To uninstall bash-builtins just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just bash-builtins

Bash loadable builtins - headers & examplesDebian 9.0utils4.4-5
sudo apt-get remove bash-builtins

This will remove just the bash-builtins package itself.

Uninstall bash-builtins and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove bash-builtins

This will remove the bash-builtins package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for bash-builtins then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge bash-builtins

Or similarly, like this bash-builtins

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove bash-builtins
