How To Uninstall bash-completion On Debian 9

To uninstall bash-completion just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just bash-completion

programmable completion for the bash shellDebian 9.0shells1:2.1-4.3
sudo apt-get remove bash-completion

This will remove just the bash-completion package itself.

Uninstall bash-completion and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove bash-completion

This will remove the bash-completion package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for bash-completion then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge bash-completion

Or similarly, like this bash-completion

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove bash-completion
