How To Uninstall bats On Debian 9

To uninstall bats just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just bats

linuxbash automated testing systemshells0.4.0-1.1
sudo apt-get remove bats

This will remove just the bats package itself.

Uninstall bats and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove bats

This will remove the bats package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for bats then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge bats

Or similarly, like this bats

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove bats
