How To Uninstall bcrypt On Debian 9

To uninstall bcrypt just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just bcrypt

Cross platform file encryption utility using blowfish (Decrypt only)Debian 9.0utils1.1-8.1+b1
sudo apt-get remove bcrypt

This will remove just the bcrypt package itself.

Uninstall bcrypt and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove bcrypt

This will remove the bcrypt package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for bcrypt then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge bcrypt

Or similarly, like this bcrypt

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove bcrypt
