How To Uninstall bdii On Debian 9

To uninstall bdii just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just bdii

Berkeley Database Information Index (BDII)Debian 9.0net5.2.23-1
sudo apt-get remove bdii

This will remove just the bdii package itself.

Uninstall bdii and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove bdii

This will remove the bdii package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for bdii then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge bdii

Or similarly, like this bdii

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove bdii
