To uninstall beast-mcmc-examples just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just beast-mcmc-examples

linuxBayesian MCMC phylogenetic inference - example datadoc1.8.4+dfsg.1-1
sudo apt-get remove beast-mcmc-examples

This will remove just the beast-mcmc-examples package itself.

Uninstall beast-mcmc-examples and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove beast-mcmc-examples

This will remove the beast-mcmc-examples package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for beast-mcmc-examples then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge beast-mcmc-examples

Or similarly, like this beast-mcmc-examples

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove beast-mcmc-examples
