How To Uninstall beep On Debian 9

To uninstall beep just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just beep

advanced pc-speaker beeperDebian 9.0sound1.3-4+b1
sudo apt-get remove beep

This will remove just the beep package itself.

Uninstall beep and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove beep

This will remove the beep package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for beep then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge beep

Or similarly, like this beep

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove beep
