How To Uninstall beets On Debian 9

To uninstall beets just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just beets

linuxmusic tagger and library organizersound1.3.19-2.1
sudo apt-get remove beets

This will remove just the beets package itself.

Uninstall beets and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove beets

This will remove the beets package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for beets then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge beets

Or similarly, like this beets

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove beets
