How To Uninstall berkshelf-api On Debian 9

To uninstall berkshelf-api just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just berkshelf-api

berkshelf dependency API serverDebian 9.0ruby2.2.0-1
sudo apt-get remove berkshelf-api

This will remove just the berkshelf-api package itself.

Uninstall berkshelf-api and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove berkshelf-api

This will remove the berkshelf-api package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for berkshelf-api then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge berkshelf-api

Or similarly, like this berkshelf-api

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove berkshelf-api
