How To Uninstall bibledit On Debian 9

To uninstall bibledit just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just bibledit

transitional dummy package to bibledit-gtkDebian 9.0gnome4.9-1
sudo apt-get remove bibledit

This will remove just the bibledit package itself.

Uninstall bibledit and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove bibledit

This will remove the bibledit package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for bibledit then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge bibledit

Or similarly, like this bibledit

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove bibledit
