How To Uninstall binutils-avr On Debian 9

To uninstall binutils-avr just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just binutils-avr

Binary utilities supporting Atmel's AVR targetsDebian 9.0devel2.26.20160125+Atmel3.5.3-1
sudo apt-get remove binutils-avr

This will remove just the binutils-avr package itself.

Uninstall binutils-avr and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove binutils-avr

This will remove the binutils-avr package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for binutils-avr then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge binutils-avr

Or similarly, like this binutils-avr

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove binutils-avr
