How To Uninstall bioperl-run On Debian 9

To uninstall bioperl-run just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just bioperl-run

BioPerl wrappersDebian 9.0science1.7.1-3
sudo apt-get remove bioperl-run

This will remove just the bioperl-run package itself.

Uninstall bioperl-run and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove bioperl-run

This will remove the bioperl-run package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for bioperl-run then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge bioperl-run

Or similarly, like this bioperl-run

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove bioperl-run
