How To Uninstall bird On Debian 9

To uninstall bird just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just bird

Internet Routing DaemonDebian 9.0net1.6.3-2
sudo apt-get remove bird

This will remove just the bird package itself.

Uninstall bird and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove bird

This will remove the bird package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for bird then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge bird

Or similarly, like this bird

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove bird
