How To Uninstall bison On Debian 9

To uninstall bison just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just bison

YACC-compatible parser generatorDebian 9.0devel2:3.0.4.dfsg-1+b1
sudo apt-get remove bison

This will remove just the bison package itself.

Uninstall bison and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove bison

This will remove the bison package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for bison then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge bison

Or similarly, like this bison

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove bison
