How To Uninstall bittorrent On Debian 9

To uninstall bittorrent just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just bittorrent

Original BitTorrent client - console toolsDebian 9.0net3.4.2-12
sudo apt-get remove bittorrent

This will remove just the bittorrent package itself.

Uninstall bittorrent and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove bittorrent

This will remove the bittorrent package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for bittorrent then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge bittorrent

Or similarly, like this bittorrent

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove bittorrent
