How To Uninstall blktap-dkms On Debian 9

To uninstall blktap-dkms just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just blktap-dkms

Xen API blktap kernel component DKMS packageDebian 9.0kernel2.0.93-0.8
sudo apt-get remove blktap-dkms

This will remove just the blktap-dkms package itself.

Uninstall blktap-dkms and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove blktap-dkms

This will remove the blktap-dkms package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for blktap-dkms then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge blktap-dkms

Or similarly, like this blktap-dkms

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove blktap-dkms
