How To Uninstall blktap-utils On Debian 9

To uninstall blktap-utils just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just blktap-utils

utilities to work with VHD disk images filesDebian 9.0utils2.0.90-4+b1
sudo apt-get remove blktap-utils

This will remove just the blktap-utils package itself.

Uninstall blktap-utils and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove blktap-utils

This will remove the blktap-utils package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for blktap-utils then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge blktap-utils

Or similarly, like this blktap-utils

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove blktap-utils
