How To Uninstall bluefish On Debian 9

To uninstall bluefish just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just bluefish

advanced Gtk+ text editor for web and software developmentDebian 9.0web2.2.9-1+b1
sudo apt-get remove bluefish

This will remove just the bluefish package itself.

Uninstall bluefish and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove bluefish

This will remove the bluefish package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for bluefish then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge bluefish

Or similarly, like this bluefish

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove bluefish
