How To Uninstall bmake On Debian 9

To uninstall bmake just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just bmake

NetBSD makeDebian 9.0devel20160220-2+b1
sudo apt-get remove bmake

This will remove just the bmake package itself.

Uninstall bmake and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove bmake

This will remove the bmake package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for bmake then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge bmake

Or similarly, like this bmake

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove bmake
